Welcome to the redesigned Trefoil Guild Scotland website. With help from members, it is updated regularly with news items and photographs and there are links to other related sites. I hope you enjoy navigating this vibrant and interesting site. Happy surfing!
The Trefoil Guild is the non uniformed branch of Girlguiding whose members all share a passion to keep their guiding interests and contacts alive. How exciting to be part of the guiding family in this their Centenary year!
Many of you were involved in the launch parties in September and I hope you continue to enjoy the various events being held locally and nationally. Keep in touch with your local Centenary Champion to find out what is happening in your own area.
Here in Scotland, the Trefoil Guild has its own celebrations. Last year, many of you were involved in Changing the World and you supported our Centenary Challenge enabling the members of Girlguiding Scotland to participate in Centenary events.
In May, we went ‘Down Memory Lane’ at our Annual General Meeting/ Annual Review at the Aviemore Conference Centre, having enjoyed the company of friends at the Gala Dinner the previous evening.
Many members have shown an interest in our annual weekend at Netherurd and the leisurely lunch event is proving very popular. Both events are fully subscribed with no waiting list operative.
To finish our own celebrations, many guilds plan to hold Centenary Services in September and October, either locally or regionally, in order to ‘Celebrate the Past, Rejoice in the Present and Move into the Future.’
I hope that you, like the girls, will experience your own mountain top moment during the rest of this year of celebration.
