Aims and Objectives

The aims and objectives of the Trefoil Guild are:
• to keep alive among members the spirit of the Guide and Scout Promises and Laws
• to carry that spirit into the communities in which members live and work
• to give practical, financial and moral support to Guiding and Scouting

Membership of the Trefoil Guild

Full membership is open to anyone over the age of 18 who has been a member of
Girlguiding UK or the Scout Association or who makes the Guide Promise.

Associate membership is open to anyone over the age of 18 who holds either a Leader’s Appointment or a Commissioner’s Appointment in Girlguiding UK or a Warrant in the Scout Association.

Affiliated membership is open to anyone over the age of 18 who has not made the Guide or Scout Promise but who subscribes to the aims and principles of the two Associations.

All Trefoil Guild members are members of Girlguiding UK.

The Lones' Guild exists for those members living in remote areas or who are housebound and perhaps less active and still wish to be members of the Trefoil Guild. They are kept in touch by a regular newsletter, by post, e-mail or telephone, and where possible enjoy an occasional get together.
